Will 2011 be a good year for technology?

2011 is only 2 days away, and CES (Consumer Electronics Show) is January 6 through the 9th. Not only is Verizon's Long Term Evolution (LTE) network fully rolling out, but AT&T is also planning to roll out their LTE network. This means faster browsing speeds and hopefully a better voice call connection. Hopefully Android 2.3 or even 3.0 will be released and maybe even IOS 5.

Intel will be making new CPU's that will require a new motherboard to run. Samsung has confirmed that they will be launching the successor to their famous Galaxy S line of phones, the Galaxy S2. Apple will be upgrading all of its hardware as they do every year including the iPad, and iPhone. Most of the automobile companies will be rolling out new plug-in electric vehicles. Motorola will be unveiling their long-awaited tablet, and of course will be making next-gen Droid handsets.

Many of the major companies will be making or starting to develop their tablets to compete in the market. Because as of this year, only Apple and Samsung have released a breakthrough tablet, but RIM will be coming out with their Dual-Core tablet the Blackberry Playbook. Will this tablet be the iPad and Galaxy Tab killer that its rumored to be? Who knows, i guess we'll all have till it comes out to see.

All in all, will 2011 be a good year for advancements in technology? I think so, but only the companies creating the hardware will tell.
